Nautics’ “Thoughts On The Ceiling” knows the chaos and complexity of being in love.

Nautics are an indie rock band hailing from New York City. Formed in 2014, the four-piece is composed of Kenzo Repola (vocals and guitar), Van Autic (bass), Levitt Yaffe (drums), and Amir “The Hands” Brivanlou (keys). After listening to Nautics, it would be difficult to imagine them emerging from anywhere but New York. Their energetic and swaggering style of indie feels indebted to the city’s iconic band The Strokes, sounding like a natural successor to that band’s 2000s New York rock.
